"I'm really not sure about this, Trevor."
"You don't need to be. Just do it."
"What if it doesn't work? What if we don't transcend? We end up somewhere awful."
"You mean like hell?"
"That or emptiness. Complete lack of anything worth living for."
"I'd say that's where we are already..."
"Ouch! What was that for? I almost slipped!"
"You deserve worse. I live for you, and don't act like you don't know it."
"I didn't mean it like that, Chandra. I meant 'we', together, as an item, have nothing to live for anymore. Of course we'll always have each other, if you would just trust me on this."
"It's really dark down there. You really want to do it?"
"I'm positive."
"If I trust you, and we jump, what guarantee is there that we'll end up together? Life in heaven would be hell without you."
"If you trusted me, you wouldn't need to worry. Trust in our love. If you can't trust your own, trust mine."
"You're always implying something, and it's getting annoying."
"What was it this time, dear?"
"You were suggesting that I don't love you. Or that your love would be stronger than mine. And this nevereding sarcasm. You're turning a life changing decision into a joke."
"Life is a joke. Ending it should be fun."
"What's the point in escaping if the end result will be the same?"
"You mean why jump if we're still gonna transcend once we die naturally?"
"Yeah."
"Because I'm sick of this place, and I want to change."
"You want to change?"
"That's not what I said. I want to change location."
"I think you meant exactly what you said. It was a Freudian slip. It doesn't have anything to do with being bored with your life or me or anything else for you. You're sick of the way you are."
"That's not true. But as usual, you know better than me."
"What is that supposed to mean?"
"You always know what I'm thinking. Most of the time before even I do. Of course you know why I want to jump off a bridge in the middle of the night. But whatever the reason, it's part of what won't matter. Don't say you haven't thought about it too.
"Of course I have. You know I have... Would you leave without me?"
"Of course not."
"Then let's go. Take my hand."
"Home?"
"Home."
