I also notice on 40 meters the load and plate tuning are nowhere near where the manual states. Before I go into the ampdoes sound like a padding cap? Or maybe a Shunt? The prior owner had door knob caps added to 40 and 80. Also replaced DC blocking cap, RF choke. And Parasitic supression.up
