You knew what you were getting into... After the previous one...So seriously, no actually... YOU NEVER HAVE TO TAKE THE MOVIE SERIOUSLY, that's the real deal... If you saw the first one, you didn't bought the ticket for the MESSAGE this movie is going to promote, you bought it to actually have FUN... Take out your brain from skull, leave it to rest and just enjoy the moving pictures in front of you. 22 Jump Street never promoted itself as a cinematic masterpiece experience, but on fun... And it delivers it... You've plenty of moments of self-parody (Cube of ice!!!), Bro/gay/queer (only if they have a sense of humor)-Mance (the sun-screen scene or the library scene) and a pile of EVERYTHING... Explosions (have you seen a golf-cart/football-cart exploding like that?) So just enjoy it for the 95 minutes. I personally thought it was fun, and I all I was looking for was fun... So f**k-it...I quitOkay, I looked at my review of the previous 21 Jump Street movie and found out I gave it a 5 and said it lost steam in the last 20 minutes. Well, here the humor was unevenly scattered throughout but I actually enjoyed it a little more as it went on since I didn't really expect to be blown away this time. I mean, Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum seem to be having a good time still and I wasn't in the most discriminating mood this time watching with my movie theatre-working friend. So I guess I maybe liked this one a little better because of my lowered expectations is what I'm saying. Certainly the end credits was something creative that was pleasantly unexpected so there was that...This excellent film is a sequel and knows it, and wants us to know that it knows it.Officers Morton Schmidt (Jonah Hill) and Greg Jenko (Channing Tatum) are assigned to infiltrate a drug ring and catch the supplier at MCState College. Again posing as Doug and Brad McQuaid, Schmidt falls in with the Bohemian students and develops a relationship with art student Maya (Amber Stevens West) while Jenko finds a kindred spirit in Zook (Wyatt Russell), who woos him for the college football team. With their paths going in two different directions, Schmidt and Jenko begin to question their partnership. The film is a sequel to 21 Jump Street (2012) (2012), which is a sequel/reboot of the television series 21 Jump Street (1987) (1987-1991). The story and screenplay were written by Jonah Hill and American screenwriters Michael Bacall, Oren Uziel, and Rodney Rothman. Schmidt and Jenko make it to the roof where they find Ghost (Peter Stormare) attempting to escape in a helicopter. Jenko leaps upward and grabs onto the copter but finds it difficult to keep his hold with his wounded shoulder. In a supreme leap, Schmidt follows suit. Jenko loses his grip, but Schmidt grabs his arm, while the helicopter takes them both out over the water. Jenko manages to fish the grenade out of Schmidt's shorts and toss it
