20 Aug 2016 I'm looking for a copy of the instruction manual for this lens. I have the manual for the "non-D" version of the lens, but need the "D" version manual. I suspect the english portion of the manual is 1 page or less. If someone has one and could scan the english page, I would appreciate it. I hate to shell out $15 for an instruction
26 May 2010 Review Of The Nikon AF Nikkor 70-210mm F4-5.6. The Nikon AF Nikkor 70-210mm is an early AF Nikkor and as such the lens body and barrel is made of metal. The lens feels as tough as it looks, and it There is no zoom ring on this lens, you manual push and pull the zoom yourself. The lens starts at
70-210mm f/4 AF Nikkor on a D2x (ISO 160, f/4, 1/1000 sec). Could a more expensive lens do it better? Probably not. There's a sucker born every minute. One of the internet's single greatest myths is the 70-210/4-5.6D Nikkor. Originally marketed as a budget amateur zoom, it is now a grossly overpriced testament to how
I just got a used Nikon AF 70-210 f4-5.6 lens and have a question about using it with a D50. I would like to know what the yellow indicator line is
The focusing window on this AF zoom Nikkor 70-210mm f/4~5.6S has been removed. The manual focusing ring which faced so much of criticism has been improved with a broader collar now, and it comes with a hard rubberized pattern for improved lens handling during manual focusing. The zoom is still keeping a separate
For those familiar with the Nikon 70-210 AF f/4, being that it's an older lens, can aperture be controlled through the camera body (for things like aperture-priority or shutter-priority)? Or, would I have to control it manually, setting it on the lens directly? A D70s is what I'm using if you're curious. Thanks. Kevin.

The basic Ai-S-spec AF Nikkor zoom 70-210mm f/4~5.6S was serving Nikon photographers needs from the period of 1988 to 1993 until the debut of the Nikon all D-spec AF Nikkor lenses also are Ai-S native which makes them fully compatible with any Ai-spec Nikon SLRs which includes Manual Focus Nikon bodies.
It doesn't focus as fast, and the f/4 aperture is a huge bonus. The f/4 also focuses closer but is much heavier than either of the f/5.6 versions. Don't confuse this 70 - 210 mm AF-D lens with the 70-210 f/4.5-5.6 manual focus lens now resold by Nikon that appears to be made by Cosina. The manual focus lens sells for about
