I recently purchased a Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo for my MSI X99S SLI Plus LGA 2011-3 motherboard. While trying to install the heat sink, I encountered a problem with the stand-off screws. I got a new EVO 212 to mount on an Intel i7 4820K on an ASUS Sabertooth X79. Are there specific instructions for the LGA 2011-V3 socket? Are the CM Look at other LGA sockets they are the same MoBo backplate but just smaller and you got to install CM Hyper 212 evo backplate in there. What of lga
The instructions in the manual sent with the cooler say to not install the backplate, they just show for 2011 putting the standoffs right in and the cooler right The LGA 2011 motherboards already comes with the LGA 2011 bracket, so you do not need to install the bracket that comes with the hyper 212 EVO.
