5 Apr 2016 I've had a manual transmission my entire life. Sadly, I had to upgrade to a newer car and really liked the 2016 Legacy. I thought I would get over the cvt transmission, but I can't. Is it possible to swap out the tranny with the Canadian 6 speed? It would be going into a 3.6, not the 2.5 that it comes with.
10 Nov 2010 Here's a silly question for those of you in the know. Any idea what would be involved (cost/parts) to do an auto to manual conversion on a Forester XT.
Sure it is possible. People have done it successfully. Check the Forester forums for more specifics. But it should be identical to going from auto to manual in an Impreza. You will need the drive train components as well as the clutch pedal assembly which is all in one (brake, throttle, clutch) and you will need

Not sure if it was a swap or they were actually availible but I once saw a ZJ Grand Cherokee with a manual, (Laredo trim) pretty sure the 4.0 too way back before these all I want a WRB Forester so bad but due to the low number of manual transmissions around, people are asking quite a premium for it.
