I also replaced water pump, timing belt idler pulley, timing belt tensioner, and 2 accessories belts. cost was $300 for parts at autozone.

6 Mar 2010 Mr. Winkey did this job and broke it down very well. I am adding this addendum because there were some things/questions his page does not tell. volvospeed.com/Repair/s40_timing_belt.html. I thank Mr. Winkey as I could not have done this job comfortably without his knowledge and web page.
