And his on again, off again ex-girlfriend Fiona Glenanne, who enjoys explosives and firearms as much as fashion and yogurt. Together, they take on cases that help individuals throughout the city of Miami, while Michael puts together the pieces of the puzzle about the people that burned him. And they will need lots of yogurt and C4 in order to do so. I find Burn Notice very entertaining. However, they need to lose the bean pole with the silicon lips (Gabrielle Anwar/Fiona). Can't the producers find a 'Babe' anywhere in Miami? She really detracts from the overall show. Showing her spinal column, that's just nasty. What with HDTV, you get a closer look at the actors (in this case the actress). She looks like she was road hard, and put away wet, one to many times – barfly. Hint: Women have cleavage, chickens have breast bones. Maybe some real plots, instead of cheesy personal problems? Something related to getting burned maybe? 'James Bond' him up a little? I am getting the sense the show is headed toward some kind of soap opera theme. Bad idea. Camera work is good. At least they aren't using a cell phone camera tied to a bungee cord, like a lot of 'TV shows' do. Jeffrey Donovan? At least they didn't make him a TV sissy-boy……yet. His character seems to be OK. His plots are a little fluffy. Somewhat reminiscent of the 'Rockford Files'. Surely, this can be done better – or are 'they' at the bottom of the barrel for ideas? All in all, I say – keep at it. You might hit on something with this show. BURN NOTICE is not a show for those whose tastes run to LAW & ORDER or CSI or BONES or NCIS or THE CLOSER or even MONK. It will appeal to those whose favorite show is PSYCH. It is an irreverent series about a defrocked spy who now lives a hunted and somewhat reduced lifestyle in Miami, of all places. It is lighthearted in its approach, and most episodes may remind those old enough to remember MISSION IMPOSSIBLE. The spy, played by familiar TV face Jeff Donovan, teams up with his buddies to help those in need. Shades of HACK. One of those buddies is played by Bruce Campbell of EVIL DEAD fame, and who is always welcome in my house. The other buddy is a gun-happy ex-girlfriend played by Gabrielle Anwar, who appeared in one of the THE LIBRARIAN TV movies. Donovan is a bit small and lightweight to be taken seriously as a tough guy, but fortunately most of what he does is talk people into doing his bidding. It's mostly head games. Michael wears the O

Michael wears the Oliver Peoples Victory sunglasses. Oliver Peoples no longer makes the Victory frames, in the 55s (which is Michael's lens size) or the 58s. The lens color is the cognac, which is available via special order on just about all of the sunglasses OP has to offer.

Recently (Spring 2010), Oliver Peoples rereleased the 55s in the gold/cognac color combination. It is unknown how long the new run will last. In the pilot it's established that Fiona is Irish and as such she speaks with an Irish accent. In the second episode she greets Michael using an American accent. When he asks her about it she says she "can't go around Miami sounding like a freaking leprechaun". later it's determined that in order to hide from her numerous enemies, she took on an American accent.
