"are you enjoying the party?" Whitebeard said, bowing down to my eye level. He gave me a big smile and I laughed a bit.
“Of course dad" I said with a smile on my face. He laughed his own unique laugh and began looking around the room.
“What are you looking for?" I asked. “Someone special?" He turned to me once again.
“Well yes, a qualified dance partner for my daughter! Gurarara~!" He laughed and stood up in all this full length.
“P-Please!" I said, clearing my throat. “I can do that by myself!"
“By all means, but I´d like you to get someone more…. Confident" and so he began walking around the grand room for some unlucky pirates. So what was this really? To be honest, I had no idea. But I guess the Whitebeard pirates were throwing some sort of Party, or bale, in order to celebrate their victory in the war, and all pirates that participated in the war was invited. What can I say? I´ve never thought pirates would ever put on suits OR dance in a proper manner. Buy hey, they did and seemed to have fun while doing it. Of course were all the ladies…a d some men, circling around Ace trying to get a dance or trying to talk to Zoro who currently sleeps in a corner of the ballroom. I sighted and sat down on the nearest chair and just looked over the big crowd of dancing pirates. Luffy were dancing with Boa Hancock, although he didn´t know how to dance and looked more like a… yes a monkey when he tried to take proper steps while not stepping on her feet. Sanji tried to dance with all the ladies in the room, Mihawk were talking to Shanks, Marco were dancing with Someone I didn´t know… and here was I, the only one in the room who seems to not have anyone to dance with.
“C-Can I have the next dance?" Said a voice on the right side of me, and so I turned my face toward Buggy. He looked quite fancy in a red suit with a green shirt and a orange bowtie, the colors just made me happy. But, he did indeed, look quite nervous. I´d guess he haven´t danced with anyone this whole evening.
“oh, Why not?" I said and got on my feet. A slight smile of relief spread across his face, and he took my gloved hand. We walked out on the dance floor just as a bit slower song came on, a waltz.
‘Damn….’ I thought, getting a more troubled expression.
“What’s wrong?" he asked, his face showing a kind of “am-I-Not-enough?" expression.
“I… I just don’t know how to dance a waltz… that’s all" I sighted.
“I know… maybe I can teach you?" he said, very confident. “It isn´t so hard, just go “1-2-3"
“O-Okay…" I gulped. “I better give it a chance" and so he laid a gentle hand on my waist and another in my hand. I placed my free hand on his shoulder, giving me slightly more confidence. I don’t even know how short time it took, but suddenly it felt like I´ve done nothing but dance in my whole life. Somehow, in his arms, I could really fly. But every dance has an end, and so the music went silent. His gentle hands left my body, and I felt quite left there for a second. But so he closed in once again, giving me a gentle kiss on the forehead. Before I knew it, my face turned all red.
“Thanks for the flashy dance, princess" He said, and walked off.
