Reversed Reality

I forgot who I am while listening to everyone else.
I lost my own way while following someone else.

What is a destiny?
What's it got to do with me?

I've been here before,
I recognize this place.
I'm stuck in reverse -
In the outskirts of Your grace. 
What's the reason for my stay?
I don't really know what's going on.
I'm afraid -
This is not where I want to be.
I'm confused -
I'm stuck in reversed reality. 

My sight is veiled by misleading illusions.
My tongue is bound by contradicting confusions.

What is humanity?
How's it affecting me?

I don't want to sing about a stupid cliche of staring at someone in the mirror
I'm tired of people telling me all about who I'm supposed to be
I'm through with trying to please everyone else
I stumble; I fall, but the ground keeps catching me
I keep on feeling these same old feelings
I try to run away
But I just end up facing those same old demons
So once again I turn to You
And I've got only one thing in mind
Save me, please -
I don't want to be left behind.

Get me out of this reversed reality.
