Shoes to Get Lost in and a Very Good Friday
Blog post from SoclogAloooha!
Hows life treating ya? Life here is good. It's Friday, it's raining (yes, I love that), I have my Henna mud, I got into the school I applied for and I had steaks for dinner. Mmm-m! Excellent, indeed.
Can you believe it?! I got into the school!!! Bibelfjäll in Hemavan, that's what I am going to be doing this fall! I CAN'T WAIT! It's going to be so nice to go to a school close to home, and up in the mountains so I can spend plenty of time on my snowboarding skillz!
I am super excited about this.
Once again though, Mother, Father; should I be considering getting a car?
Well! Shoe pair of the day!
Another pair of jogging shoes, but a shoe pair I own - none the less.
I've had these for a couple of years. You may now wonder: Why two pairs of jogging shoes? Well, there is a very logical reason for this: I went home to Alaska one year and Sunny wanted to go running, and I wanted to go too, but didn't have any shoes, so she bought them for me. So kind. I have used them faithfully, because unlike the other shoes I have - these fit perfectly. So, I have been running around town, gym halls, forests and whatnot. I remember getting lost out in Dalasjö, just outside of Vilhelmina. Yes, it is a very, very small place, and getting lost there - where there are houses - is quite impossible. But we were out in the woods with school, looking for some dumb reflex something something to get some stamps, reading maps and using compasses and all that. I hated it. But got into it anyways. Well, me and my team were running around looking for these, and I was going to go just a little but away from them to check if I could find one of these posts, but when I got back - they were not there. And oddly, the things didn't look the same anymore. Well, all the trees were the same all over the place, but rocks started appearing where I didn't remember them, and the river would bend at places that didn't show on the map and such things. Yes, I was lost. And I had bad reception on my phone, and it was dying. But finally after a good 40 minutes I found a road, and followed it and found my friends. Haha. It was so funny. My PE teachers just laughed at me, with messages like "Yeah, Good excuse, girly" shining on their faces. It was awesome anyways. Haha.
Me and Sunny went to an open mic night tonight, and it was poetry reading, and do you know what? A poem is so much more when it is read out loud by the author itself. wow. I almost started crying a couple of times, when people read poems about people they've lost or going through hard times. It's just so much more true coming from their own mouth than reading it in a book or online somewhere.
Well, my Henna kit came in today, and I am doing some Henna tats on me and my auntie tonight!
You have a good one!
