Prayer and Reminiscing on More Shoes
Blog post from SoclogHello!
Okay, so I skipped blogging for like a day or two, but the latest days have been so busy! With work, youth group and whatnot. I am absolutely exhausted. But I got lots done this week, so I feel very accomplished. It finally feels like I'm getting some progress at work, and that what I am working with right now is not an impossible project.
And youth group! Aaahw, youth group. I love those kids so much, seriously. And this Thursday was just awesome. I decided to try to not going with something I have written down. I just took a piece from the bible, read it and explained it piece by piece. And I think this was one of the best sermons so far. I think they were really comprehending! So, they subject was prayer, since it was the national day of prayer yesterday. And I read from Matthew chapter 5, where Jesus is talking about how to pray and when to pray. It was so good. I explained that the Lord's prayer can be used as a model, for how to pray, when you don't know what to say. And me and Sunny told them stories about times we have prayed and when God has answered, to show them that God answers in so many different ways! And then we ended everything with a popcorn prayer moment - it's when everyone gets to just pop up with a prayer, anything that comes into their mind, and we just have a prayer moment like that. And the things they said! Gosh, it made me so happy hearing them thanking God for all those things. Hearing them talking to God, it was the best. Yeah, Thursday's Youth Group totally made me feel like "this is exactly why God wanted me to come here. This is so right." I felt blessed. And I praise the Lord for that!
Oh, and I told my boss when I am quitting, and I have to write my resign letter thinger. I asked my grandmother how I should write it and she started quoting:
"Dear YKHC, I am quitting! Screw you!"
Haha, my grandmother is the best.
Well, I have three pairs of shoes to talk about now!
My mother and father got these shoes for me one Christmas.
They have this odd design, and I loved them when I first got them! I used them pretty much too. But then I started getting into other kinds of shoes, and yeah. And I was getting annoyed by the pink sole, haha. But I still like them and I use them whenever they fit my outfit. I know my mother likes to borrow them, at least she has sometime.
I remember her saying when I opened the present: "I thought of you when I saw these." And I guess I can understand that. This was during the period of when I started to get odd, and just do my own thing. And I was just going against the flow, doing whatever I liked, wearing what I liked, even though it wasn't what Cosmo was saying to wear. haha.
Now these. Haha. Okay. So I saw them at Ica, and I absolutely loved them! But I never had money to get them. But still, I yearned for these shoes. I mean, they are red, they have stars and they are called ninja shoes! OGJAS. Who wouldn't want a pair of red ninja shoes?! Anyways. So, me and two of my friends where just wandering about, wasting time looking at odd things in the store, and we walked by these and as I usually did I started sighing and just talking about how much I loved these and wanted them. And then my friend just asked me "Do you want me to buy them for you?" And I was like, what? I didn't think he would, but he got me a pair of them. If I'm not mistaken they were on a little sale too. haha. Anyways, I was super happy, and my friends liked seeing my super red shoes on me, and it was all just awesome. Good times, good times.
Some year later my sister got a pair just like these, just black instead. Hah.
Copy cat.
These are old. Oh, so old. I think my mom got them for me for some graduation something. I needed cute shoes to look pretty in, and these were cheap. And boy have I worn them ever since. They go with everything! And they look so cute! I don't care they were bought in the kids section, they are adorable! And I just love butterflies.
I remember this one time I saw this girl at school, we met in the stairs, and I noticed she was wearing the same shoes as me... Pissed me off! I hate having the same things as others.... But I got over it and continued wearing these anyways. Wow. I have been places with these. All over Sweden. Even Lithuania. Haha. Ah, they just make me feel like I am 14 years old and naive to the world again.
