When a shooter is winding up to take a shot, the goalies eyes should be fixated on the ball inside the shooters stick. The opposing player will attempt to hide the ball behind his body when winding up, but the goalie should make the best effort to locate the ball quickly. Once the shot is taken, even at a very fast pace, the goalies eyes should remain on the ball until he has made the save and even looked the ball all the way into his stick.
