The tears that fall upon your cheek
Are formed from words that angels speak,
The dew of love that form upon your soul.
This tear of glass we give to you,
A tear that lets God's light shine through,
Reflecting love from deep within our hearts.
A tear can't take away the pain,
No words of men to you explain,
A darkness cast upon your very soul.
A tear of glass, a tear of love,
Along with prayers to God above,
We offer in these time of deep despair.
We give this lasting tear of glass,
A token of a life that passed,
A simple way that we can share your pain.
In years to come tears fade away,
But a tear of glass is meant to stay,
Like friends who join you on your darkest day.
Tear of glass, tear of glass,
Let the light of God get past
To show the path that He has laid for you.
Tear of glass, tear of glass,
Reflecting light that God has cast
To welcome home a spirit born anew.
