"Queen, whose soul is deep as ocean and as bright as the northern lights, a blossoming rose, coming from Turku.'' Vad hennes hela namn betyder! (Tarja Soile Susanna Turunen) Tarja The name "Tarja" actually has Persian roots and derives from the name "Daria". This name has two meanings. On the one hand it means "queen" or "rich". On the other hand it also can mean "deep ocean". "Tarja" or "Daria" is the female form of "Darius" which derives from the Persian Dвrayavahush, which was composed of the elements dвraya "to possess" and vahu "good". Soile "Soile" is a relatively new Finnish name and did not occur before 1800. It means "the glow of the northern lights". Susanna "Susanna" is derived from the Hebrew name "Shoshanna" or "Shoshan" which means "lily". In modern Hewbrew it also is an expression for "rose". Turunen "Turunen" is a quite common surname in Finland and means (as far as I know ) "coming from Turku". <3
