SNEAKPEAK:
Harry nurtures the yearning for Light in people whose instincts are Dark,
but he’d sell his soul for just one kiss from a Death Eater’s son.
Draco nurtures the greed for power in the corrupt,
but he’d denounce Darkness and give away every cent of his fortune
for just one kiss from a Mudblood’s son.
Harry knows he should end this chapter on love unrequited,
but when Draco blows back into his life again and takes Harry
mere steps away from the fireplace, Harry forgives him everything
– well almost everything. He’ll never forgive Draco for leaving
again and again despite his breathy promises to stay this time.
But this morning’s different.
Even though Harry finds Draco’s side of the bed empty,
there’s a note on the kitchen counter held in place by a still-warm cup of tea.
This is the last time I’ll leave before you wake it reads.
Harry rolls his eyes and tries to swallow the familiar lump in his throat.
