When listening to John’s music it feels like a close friend is explaining everything too me, explaining that it’s ok to feel the way I feel. It’s like I’m never alone listening to John’s music, he is so present in his voice and melody.
One year ago I saw an interview with John on “Skavlan". There he performed “who says" and I was stuck. The first song I remember touched my soul deeply was “Stop this train". I really related to that one with every line in it.
So I began reading John’s lyrics like a book or something, the best book I’ve ever read.
I think I’ve forgotten to honour the melodies of the songs, ‘cause they, of course, are totally awesome as well.
John inspired me, like so many others, to start playing the guitar. I sing to relax and I play to feel the music coming from my own hands.
Every night John’s music guides me in to the world of dreams in a way that makes me feel safe. Every day his music paints the grey world in colours to make me feel like living it, even through the hard times. I want John to know that every day he makes me feel love for my living and doing and I’m so happfull to have discovered his music. Thank you.
When I close my eyes I can see his music dance before me.
Lots of love, Emma.
