"You seem scared, Hime-chan."
"I am," she whispered.
"Well, that makes a nice change," I grinned, twisting her arm a little so that she gasped. "Did that hurt?"
"Wh…Why do you treat me like this?" she asked desperately, trying to free herself. "Why are we enemies?"
"Why do you ask such stupid questions?" I growled, throwing her arm back to her with more force than was necessary. "'Why are we enemies?'. Give me a break."
"I don't want us to be!" she cried, massaging her wrist. "I want to know you! I want--,"
"That's cute. But, fortunately, no one cares what you want."
She gazed at me resentfully. Her eyes are big. When I look at her I think of a deer. The girl with doe eyes. "You care," she said. "Iknow you care. Ulquiorra told me--,"
"Ah, so you've been speaking to Aizen's boy," I said, walking away, but not away from the conversation. I swung myself up onto one of those sills and stretched out. I was still listening.
"Yes, I have."
"And what did Aizen's fuck buddy say?"
She flinched at the language, but did not back down.
"He said you have been watching me when I sleep. He says you've been brooding ever since I got hurt. He says you were the one who made sure I was alright."
"That's true. What about it, sunshine?"
"You care about me!" she cried,
growing as angry as she could possibly ever get. If it's anger.
I just think she's hysterical. She's a crazy woman.
"You aren't acting like the others."
I laughed a little in my throat. A quiet, satirical noise.
"Yeah, it sucks, doesn't it?"
