Once all the hardware and electrical components are removed you’ll only have the tub itself and the spa skirt to disassemble. Usually the skirt is wooden and easy to take apart with a screwdriver and/or hammer. You won’t necessarily need to cut up the wooden pieces. The tub bed however is a different issue. These are made in one piece, usually with fiberglass, plastic or some other sturdy material. This is where hot tub removal can get noisy and cumbersome. This is also where you make sure you have all your safety gear on. A reciprocating saw or jigsaw will make fast work of the tub as you cut it into manageable pieces. Once the tub is disassembled you can dispose of it properly. For more details please visit
