Blind Guardian! Mina hjältar!

the first Blind Guardian show took place in January 1988. The band played in a club called Kulturfabrik in Krefeld.
under the name Lucifers Heritage the band played one show with another vocalist (Thomas Kelleners) in 1984. That particular show still belongs to the top five of their worst band performances ever.
the chorus idea for Mirror Mirror has been originally composed for I'm Alive
everyone gained weight drastically during the Imaginations ... and the Nightfall ... session due to the excellent Danish cake.

back in 1990 the new KARO Studio near Brackel got almost damaged during the listening party for Tales from the Twilight World by some new friends Andre has made the day before and by whatsoever reason invited them to the listening party.
on the Imaginations ... session one of the 24-track tapes broke on the very last day of the production. Due to a close deadline the band would have been forced to skip the song (Mordred's Song) in case the tape would have been damaged at a point, which on
most parts of Thorn have been composed for Nightfall
that the band played several shows in 1988 with the guest bassist: Niko Trznadl. For a short time the band considered him to be the fifth member in the band
at the end of the Nightfall songwriting period Andre and Hansi have started working on the musical album.
"there's only one song", the line from The Bard's Song, would not be on the album due to a fatal mistake by Kalle Trapp who forgot to open the vocal track in time. While listening to the whole album for the very first time the band did not recognize it
the first tour for Battalions of Fear was a disaster. On the Ludwigshafen show only 10 people had shown up.
on ANATO 50% of the production time has been spent for And Then There Was Silence
Kalle Trapp joined the band on their first trip to Japan and did front of house mixing on the shows.
