You were my first love, and at the time my last,
Now you're just a memory, a moment of my past.
But that's not really fair, for you or for me,
Because when I think of you still, there's so much I still see......
I see the boy who used to put, her arm around mine,
Whose smile could make me smile, every single time.
Whose laugh played in my head, every single day,
So why my first love, why did you have to go and say......
All the things you said, and not follow through,
Was I not supposed to fall in love with you?
Because if I wasn't, no one ever told me so,
Or how hard it would be, to let you go.
But I've done it, yes, I really have,
And although tears were shed, I will always be glad,
That you were sent to me, from up above,
And for that moment in time, you were my first love.
