I stay up
with tears flowing
I turn back to dry my cheeks
everything around just disappears
I look back
but do not want what memories
Real friends know they will stay
but after the time that has elapsed
so nothing is the same
tears are nights instead of sleeping
I want to wake up but it is no dream
so much loss
and so little gained
but every time is now
