- Once more a freezing wind envelops the young woman. As she exhales a flock of birds takes flight. Surely, the sound was not more than a bird, settling down on an all too weak branch. The teenager’s senses still tingling with adrenalin, making her restless. A person, would at least have been something. A pleasant numbness starts to spread throughout the adolescent body, her knees slowly giving in to the weight of her human form and heavy mind. The wind, still circling the hilltop had removed a few strands of hair from her face. Exposing the thing she so desperately has been trying to hide. One amber eye. The cause of the rebellion. The cause of the death for hundreds of innocent people. People and others like us…-
