Kul diskussion jag haft med några kristna xD

Religion is an out-dated system and is no longer needed given what we know and understand. Anyone with a clear reasoning mind doesn't just know that God doesn't exist, but he and she understands WHY he cannot exist.
Everyone, christians and atheists, watch this series on youtube. It's about a guy who was brought up as a christian, live like one but converted to atheis in his later teenage. Very interresting series. If you don't watch it because "you allready know he's wrong, or that you just don't want to hear it because it might shatter your view on the world" then you're just proving every atheists point.

For starters Christianity is not outdated. When I got my ticket to heaven it had no expiration date.Also seeing as how I believe it's the ONLY way to an eternity with God, I believe it is needed. That is based on what I know and understand.Please enlighten us as to how you KNOW God doesn't and how He cannot exist.Lastly, where is the link to the video

That's not reasoning. Again, don't act cynical. Air has been scientifically proven as mass, which involves carbondioxide, oxygen, helium and other various gases. You can compress and freeze it into liquid form with advanced technology.

What you feel when you love, hate or taste something is nothing else than chemical reaktions in your brain using electric synapses.

I've heard the "you can't see air"-thing 100 of times by 15-year olds, and it's getting very old, since people doesn't even think about what they're asking. You do realise that air can be felt? That air is what makes the leaves on trees move?

You can't see a well polished glass, but when you walk through it, you sure as hell know it's there.

Isak, The "ticket" I was referring to was metaphorical. I apologize if giving you enough credit to understand that upset you in some way.Anyway, your argument isn't logical in that it betrays itself. If ou hadn't been exposed to modern science then you wouldn't believe the way that you do. Does this in itself make your thought process faulty? I think not.

Besides, I was exposed to science as well. I don't discount it. I do however thank God that I was exposed to Him as well and therefore given a choice to believe the truth as I see it.

Chris: At least you sound like an intelligent man, besides from the fact you need to insult me and make me sound like I'm stupid because you thought I couldn't understand a simple metaphor... which you even wouldn't have needed to havr brought up if you read what I said in the first place: That religion is out-dated, and not "the ticket to heaven".

And science is not an invention. I's like saying that "if you wouldn't have been exposed to mathematics or thermodynamics you wouldn't have known about it". the reason why I'm bringing this up is because Mathematics and thermodynamics, are both scientific tools to help us understand the universe and even if you wouldn't have been exposed to it, you'd still know that 2 piles of dirt is twice as much as one pile of dirt (mathematics). And that hot water is hotter than cold water (thermodynamics).

jag känner iförsig inte för att ta någon sida eftersom att man inte kan veta till 100 om gud existerar eller inte.. Även om det lutar åt att han inte finns.

Med tanke på att majoriteten av alla världens länder är religiösa, vilken impact religion haft genom historien och varför folk fortfarande "accepterar" eller "ställer sig neutral" i frågan gällande Gud, ett allsmäktigt väsen som bryter mot alla av fysikens lagar och som har högst lika mycket trovärdigt bevis för existens som Jultomten eller tandfén. Det är fascinerande över att folk fortfarande köper det.

precis och tror att det skulle vara lite lugnare mellan israel, irak, pakistan och USA om religon inte fanns, pengar spelar en stor roll här oxå men religonen har minst lika mkt :p

jag läste allt, det är phett intessant.
Jag tänker på det någon sa/stod skrivet någonstanns... att om de varit födda någon annan stans, upväxta under andra förhållanden, sklle de inte vara kristna, men lika säkra på att deras gus var den sanna... Och jag lärde mig någon nytt typ, skillnaden mellan vetenskap och tro, det där sista du skrev om att man likfan skulle veta att något är tygre än det andra även om man inte hade ett namn på det. Men vad skrev de sen då?

Men precis, vetenskap är ingen uppfinning och är därför fullkomligt naturligt, till skillnad från konceptet av ett allsmäktigt väsen som skapades för att förklara det oförklarliga; något vi inte behöver idag tack vara den framgång vi uppnåt tack vara naturvetenskap.
