Despite a tragic year, Jordison reaffirmed that Slipknot will not stop.
A new Slipknot DVD to be released Sept. 28, "(sic)nesses," chronicles the band's headlining performance in June 2009 at England's Download Festival in front of 80,000 fans.
It was a moment behind the drum kit — with Gray still on stage — that crystallized the Slipknot experience for Jordison.
"I won't remember my name when I'm 85, but I'll remember that show," he said.
The Murderdolls' sophomore album, "Women and Children Last" (a twist on the title of Van Halen's 1980 album), will be released Tuesday.
"There will be another Slipknot record, of course," Jordison added.
"But, you know — there aren't any replacements. Everyone in the band plays bass and can play guitar. We'll get to that point when we get there. But I want everyone to know — and all my Slipknot fans and all my Iowa fans to know — that no matter what I'm doing right now with Zombie and Murderdolls, that Slipknot will return.
"But we're still dealing with the passing of Paul, God rest his soul. ... Paul would never want us to not make another Slipknot record."
