I like this book, bl.a. för att en av mina favvo karaktärer i den, Lightsong, påminner mig väldigt mycket om en hopblanding av mina egna favvo karaktärer XDD (Axis, Shake, Cy & Gist )
Här får ni tre citat;
Llarimar was the priest; Lightsong was the god. There would be no questioning of motives, no rebukes. If Lightsong gave an order, they would do exactly as he said, Sometimes, that terrified him.
-------------------------------------------------------
Why did it seem that the more he demonstrated himself to be an idiot, the more convinced people became that he had some kind of hidden depths? By implication, they called him a liar in the same breath that they complimented his presumed inner virtue. Did no one understand that a man could be both likable and useless? Not every quick-tongued fool was a hero in disguise.
-----------------------------------------------------
However, he wasn't so foolish that he would needlessly earn the God King's ire. Why risk his perfect life, full of people who would carry his chair through the rain and shell his nuts for him? He knelt down on his cushion. The God King's superiority was arbitrary, much like Lightsongs's divinity --both part of a grand game of make-believe. But he'd found that imaginary things were often the only item of real substance in people's lives.
