Wonders if a drama/thriller about a rogue assassin can end like this:
" Yes, I taught you everything you know - everything that I know. Then tell me, if I have managed to teach you right you should know the first rule about a job."
He slowly nods.
"Tell me what it is."
He swallows hard again and looks at me like a schoolboy reciting his homework.
"A job is a job. No names, no people - a mere paycheck."
"Good," I smile.
"But I know you. You are a person. I can't just ignore that fact."
"Yes you can. Right now I am nothing more than a paycheck for you - a pretty good one I should hope.."
"But sir..."
"No! Nothing of that now. I know I have taught you better than to question either me or the job. You know the rules - you just told me them!"
He look at me. There's still some hesitation in his eyes, but it is gradualy leaving him. His grip of the gun is getting stronger and more stable. But still it is pointed towards the floor instead of me.
"I know why you're hesitating," I say and hope that I'm right. I need to get him to know that I don't blame him - I have to guide him one last time.
He look at me as if I hold the answer to everything and it hits me just how lost he is in all of this.
"You didn't kill me with the first shot because you want to look me in the eyes - that's your thing. I know that you want to see the life leave the body. But you hesitate now because it gets more personal than it already is. But know this: Shay, I do not blame you for this. I know it's a job. I could never blame you for that. And besides, I'm glad it's you."
"Really?" he looks more shocked than anything by my last statement.I laugh and realise that it's true.
"Yeah. Like you said - you know me. If I'm going to be killed because of a contract I'm glad it's you."
"Are you sure?" I don't know if he notice himself, but the gun is slowly rising - he's gaining confidence.
"I'm sure." I smile and reach out a hand for him. "Please." I don't really know what I'm asking for, but Shay seems to know more because he reach down and takes my hand. He smiles a bit insecure but doesn't ask again. He really does know me.
With my hand in his he moves it to his heart and I can feel it beat. I swallow hard and remember than mine will soon stop. I think I actually shed some tears, because my eyes burn and my cheek turns wet.
"Thank you."
I close my eyes and lets the darkness comfort me. I breathe slowly. In. Out. In. Out.
I hear the safety on the gun the gun click. He's getting ready.
In. Out. In. Out.
I feel how the gun is pointed towards me.
In. Out. In. Out.
In seconds I will be reunited with Danny. Soon I will see him once more.
In. Out. In. Out.
I hear the triger being pulled.
And all goes black.

I like it A LOT~ :D .. But I want a epilogue(?)A short chapter after the actual book is done is what I mean.. Not sure if epilogue is the right word for it, but anyway.. A chapter where he reunites with Danny! *.* That would be peeeerrrrrfect!~

Haha. Like I said I see Dean a bit like Hotsuma. But then he grows out of it :( I can't really describe his older self, but he's more contolled and at peace somehow.

I hope so. Cause Danny is rather important after all - even if I'd prefer to just keep him out of everything *sigh*

I'm thinking about booking myself in to a hotell for a weekend and just write without any disruption.

Probably. It's difficult to just describe a person - you need to really get to know them.

Well yeah. Danny is the main reason Dean does many things so he is important. But still, it would be better if he never got involved.

Oh, and I got almost annoyed while watchibg Betrail Knows My Name...the scene wirh Hotsuma and Shusei under the bridge...I have an almost identical scene between Dean and Danny when they're young and Danny wonders why Dean is always covered in bursing but it's okay cause Danny will always be there to help ^^

I think so too. Just leave every distraction at home and just write for two days. Could be good

Yes, I've figured that.. Simon is a bit like that too Aaron as well.. Simon is the main reason to why Aaron is the way he is, so to leave Danny out of Deans story would be like taking Simon out of Aarons, and then there wouldn't be much making sense xD hehe..

Probably yes. And without Danny then Dean wouldn't have any motivation for what he does, and then I have no story. So I'll just have to srick with perfecr Danny living his perfect life. ..

I know. I found it quite amusing as well actually. So they actually have a simliar relationship to Dwan and Danny. And if Dean hadn't run off then perhaps their relationship would look as Hotsomas and Shuseis ^^

Damn! I fogot about that :( how will I survive? :s I'll have to send my characters on holiday then...hrm...or I'll keep them with me but is only allowed to check on them every other hour...

Yeah, you should stick to perfect Danny ^^ Well Simon is far from perfect, but he's faaar from as "bad and broken" as Aaron I'd say ^^
That makes their twin relation very intresting hmhm~

We don't have internet out there and barely any phone connection, but I found a spot woth connection and almost didn't leave it at all the whole time we were there xD haha..

Well, to be fair Danny isn't perfect either. But of course that is somethibg that Dean refuses to acknowledge ^^ And Dean is pretty broken. Not in the same way as Aaron, but a different broken. And like you say, that makes the relationship more interesting ^^

Haha. talk about panic xD I would feel the same way. thank god you found that spot then ^^ I think I'll just have to role play at the hotel as well, otherwise I won't be able to write :p

Okay hehe.. Well Aaron knows Simon isn't perfect.
And both Aaron and Dean are quite broken, but in different ways... And yes, that what makes the relationships intresting~
