Usually wears: Jeans and a shirt, and hopefully a pair of shoes – it all depends on what he's managed to steal.
Likes: The night sky, animals, food (since he rarely eats), flowers, open fields
Dislikes: to be alone, thunder, to steal, alcohol and drunk people
School/Job: Neither since he's a street rat
Home: Under a bridge by the river – it's a wide bridge so usually there's some dry spots there even if it rains. But if the weather gets too bad he usually goes to some alley and hopes that someone's forgotten to lock a door or something like that.
Personality: Very happy and cheerful. He smiles almost all the time, but he's cautious around strangers. Sure, he's still happy and smiling but he keeps his distance. But the smile is only there to hide that he feels miserable and lonely and all other bad things.
Background: He grew up with his parents – his dad was a drunk and his mother was a stay at home “mom" (she didn't really care about her son). His father used to beat him whenever he got drunk and James learned early to hide it all so that people wouldn't ask questions (hence the smile).
When he was 9 his dad almost raped him in his drunken state and he got so scared that he ran off. He's been on his own ever since. He doesn't really trust strangers so he tends to keep to himself as he feels safer there. He doesn't like to take what isn't his so he only steals when he has to. Food he only steals when he can hardly move from hunger, and clothes he only steals either when the ones he has gets to cold, or when they more or less falls off his body. He hates the life that he has, but he doesn't complain as he has a feeling that perhaps it'll get better one day.
Others: There's a stray cat that lives with him under the bridge that he takes care off. And during thunderstorms the cat usually lays in his lap and purrs to keep him calm.
