So, was at the beach for a while today and watched the airforce have their show over the water with all the cool planes and such. Then me and a friend walked through the park and they had a tent with so many cool birds - owls, falcons, vultures and eagles. And for a small sum you could hold one! So I got to hold this awesome eagle. So damned scary to have her right in front of my face...but she was so cool. It totally made my day ^^

Oh yeah, I mean, that beak just a centimetre or two from the face and looking into those eyes. It was really cool but yeah, she could have done real damaged if she wanted to...

Yes, they sure are big majestic birds. And they sure can cause harm, but I don't think you'd been allowed to hold her if they thought she would try to cause damage.. Though anything can happen, so one should never say never ^^

Oh, don't get me wrong. They said that she was 14 years old and has been handled like this since she was young. But as you say, she's still a wild animal so one never knows. So I felt it best to keep some respect for her ^^ But she was beautiful

Hehe, yeah an old lady. And you're right, respect is always important ehen it comes to animals. And well, can you really tame a wild animal? They said to keep the other hand down as she otherwise might think that it was dinnertime and would snapp off a finger or two...

A very pretty one. I so wanted to pet her, but yeah, I didn't dare. At least I asked first before I tried...but yeah, that was a bit scary...and those eyes...you could see that she was a predator.

I wanted to...but they said I wasn't allowed :( and then they had the most adorable owl I've ever seen ^^ but I fogot to take a picture of it...
I love those eyes too...you can see in them that they watch everything and that they are vicious when needed be

I know. it was such a shame as she was a real beauty.
But that owl was so adorable I just wanted to take it home with me. It was like no more than 20 cm tall anf so damn cute. but they said it cost too much to buy one. I asked the price and they just said: A lot ^^

Hehe yes, I can imagine that predator birds are very expensive to buy, but I bet it was adorable. Small owls usually are.
