Name: Jack
Age: 28
Length: 186cm
Usually wears/Looks like: Usually he wears some jeans and a more or less worn out t-shirt. But sometimes he likes to dress up and then he usually ads a jacket and maybe a tie. But that normally just happens when he's going to an event or so as he feels really uncomfortable dressing up like that.
Likes: Cats, writing, the colour red
Dislikes: the colour red, loneliness, people
Job/School: Works as a professional author for a famous book series.
Home: A rather small three room apartment that he shares with his cat Castor.
Personality: He's a nice guy and quite pleasant to be around. That is when he wants to be around people. Otherwise he can come across as cold and rather rude as he has close to none attention span when people talk to him and he has issues focusing and lets his mind wander instead. He's never really understood the social game and is rather awkward when it comes to being social many times. But he can play the game sometimes as he's learned what's expected of him and then he can be rather charming.
He suffers from panic attacks, anxiety and social phobia. So he rarely leaves his apartment except for when he's dragged out of it or when the walls keeps closing in on him. When that happens he usually goes to some pub and finds some random stranger for some anonymous "pain relief".
Background: He doesn't talk much about his past, and there's no parents to be seen anywhere. All he has is his brother that he doesn't see very often for various reasons that he makes up as he goes along.
But he went to Uni and took various courses in writing to get a better understanding of the art. There he met one of his best friends, Sarah, who also works as his agent right now. He published his first book before he graduated five years ago and has since published about one book each year. He's most famous for a book series about a man called Danny that walks through a mirror and gets lost in the different worlds behind it, and his struggle to find his way back home. When he's working and is on a roll he has a tendency to forget all about eating and such and has on more than one occasion passed out due to lack of food, water and sleep. Due to this Sarah makes sure that he leaves his apartment at least once a week and has him over for dinner. If he fails to show for whatever reason she always goes over there with the dinner and sits down with him making sure he eats properly and actually interacts with another human being.
He lives alone with his cat Castor that he found in the woods when Castor was just a kitten. Jack felt sorry for the cat and took him in, and now it's one of his best friends and the only one that truly understands him.
He has a "on again, off again" relation with a young man named Alex that he met when he was 23 (Alex was at the time 18). It's a stormy and destructive relationship, but none of them seem to be able to break the pattern even if they both know how bad it is for them. When getting questions about it Jack just replies with "It's complicated". They are currently not seeing each other and Jack wants to keep it that way.
Others: In his spare time he writes Doctor Who fanfiction to cure his writers block.

Well, it doesn't always have to be the best drawn stuff to be good. I'll see if I can find it and maybe have a look.

No it definitely doesn't. Hai, do so~ There's an anime of it as well, but I prefer the manga since it's more detailed

Yeah, that's usually the case. The book is always better than the film no matter what it is. Don't think I can come up with anything where it's the opposite.
