The first time had been a necessity. The second time he’d grudingly relented to offer his hospitality yet again, if ever so slightly chilly, and left Septimus to his devices in the living room and gone straight to bed, locking his bedroom door after himself. Septimus had been gone when he got up in the morning, but had also left him with a neatly prepared breakfast. Perhaps as a thank you gift...? Faiyu snorted, planned to go to work without eating as usual, but ended up bringing a piece of toast with him anyway for reasons he couldn’t figure out.
Septimus Grace was soon after transferred entirely to Terra Enterprises, and even moved into the building adjacent to Faiyu’s, much to the blonde’s chagrin. ‘An opportunity to deeper contacts’, the elders had exclaimed, and merrily thrusted the redhead in Faiyu’s direction, telling him to keep an eye out for him and make him feel welcome. Pscht. Faiyu’d sooner keep a close eye on a rowdy cat.
The third time he suspected Grace was purposefully making himself temporarily homeless just so he could invade Faiyu’s private life. Of course it was all a lie, Grace had all the accommodations he could ask for, but he conveniently forgot his keycard in the most unimaginable places. Why he did it, Faiyu had no idea, but it was annoying and a tad uncomfortble, and he felt responsible for helping him out. He would’ve loved to let him sit outside like an idiot, but it wasn’t too easy to ignore the polite knocks that kept up until he got tired of it and opened his door.
He made sure to avoid him at work to the best of his abilities, being his company mentor, but had little success in that matter. He almost contemplated filing a stalker report with the police, but decided against it. It wouldn’t look good on either the record or with the council. They liked Grace, he did a splendid job, even Faiyu couldn’t deny that.
So he could deal with a coworker. He could deal with an infuriating and highly irritating coworker with a habit of showing up anywhere he least expected him to. He’d done it before and involving the police was just going to produce paperwork he didn’t need. And it maybe wasn’t so bad. Septimus main purpose seemed to be striking up odd little conversations with him. And most often when he was at his busiest. He probably did that on purpose too.
