Darkness steals across the sky
Velvet blackness engulfing the sun
Shadows flit across the ground
Whispering of another day done
Light forgotten a waning heart
A nameless fear, forgotten terror
No, one can’t run, nor can one hide
Evil awoken by human error
Sweet death lies, hidden in the deep
Foul creatures lie but breadths away
Hush, my heart, and quell your call
They long to break and kill and maul
Is all this real, is it a dream
So scared of the dark I want to scream
I feel trapped inside a prison cell
With creatures tall and dark and fell
