"Checkmate",the mind reader stated before leaning back with a satisfied smilethat grew bigger and bigger for every second that passed.
Ericwasn't quite as pleased as Charles. His eyes was locked on the chess,then they moved up to Charles eyes and narrowed before he raised fromhis chair. “You're reading my mind again, you fool."
“I'mnot", Charles claimed and held his hands up in the air, then letthem fall to his knees and smiled. “You're just playing way toobvious."
Onceagain Eric's eyes narrowed and suddenly the chess pieces was all overthe floor together with the rest of the set. The table got pushedaside by Eric and before Charles could react, the other man hadgrabbed his chin between his thumb and index finger. They locked eyeswith each other and Xavier could almost hear his own heart race inhis chest.
“Don'tyou lie to me, Xavier."
Inthat moment, everyone would say that Eric looked angry and upset, butCharles just grinned, cause he could see how his Adam's apple went upand down when he swallowed repeatedly. It was almostas satisfying as winning over him in chess to see Eric, weak.
