~In the claws of the kidnappers~
Kagome was sertain now that she was at the kidnappers headquarters and that she was in danger of becoming one of the souless childen wandering arond in the cold. But she wasn't fearing for the lives of her friends, they where good fighters. Even if Kagome thought she saw Keade get hit, she didn't think it was so badly because she didn't even know if she saw right or not. It was unlucky she'd fallen into the arms of the wholfes and taken to the station but her friends wouldn't abandon her. She knew there was nothing in this world or the next that could stop InuYasha from rescuing her and then they would go off to Narakus castle to defeat him.
Harder than that wasn't it. The days passed with school - like activities, with gymnastics and art. The boys and the girls where held seperatly but had freetime together. It was then she met Simon, the kid who seemed to know more than the rest. He showed Kagome something he noiced a while back, next to the roof there was a panel, it was hanging loose and inside it was a crawlspace, you could easly hide in there. Then a doctor came and knocked in the table to silence the children.
"Listen up children!" He said. "From time to time we have to test the firealarm. You need to have your whinter clothes near by when the alarm goes off because we're gonna show you where to gather if there's a real fire. Remember what you learn today, it could save your life when it's needed."
Well, that's an idea Kagome thought. The same afternoon she and three other girls where bought to rooms to be checked up.
"I was measured yesterday." said Kagome.
"Oh, it's something else today. Can you stand on that metalplate - without shoes, please?"
Kagome did as he asked and counterd him with more questions.
"What are you measuring?" She asked."Is it spirtual-power?"
"What? who told you about that?" He asked.
"It was a girl, I don't remember her name. She said you kill..." He cut her off.
"Its not true." He seemed upset.
"You take the kids away one by one and they don't come back." Kagome said.
"That's not true at all. When we move the children we simply send them to a relax-center. Don't think about it, who's your friend?" He said.
"I came here yesterday, so I haven't learned any names yet." She said.
He gave up after that and the firealarm started ringing loudly.
"All her clothes are in the dorm room, doctor." The nurse said.
"No they're not." Kagome said. "The clothes I was wearing yesterday when I came here is in the room nextdoor."
"Spelendid idea, lets do it but quickly!" Said the nurse and hurried to get her own jacket on. Kagme soon had he own clothes on and they walked out together. She then blended in with the croud and when the adults wheren't looking she sneaked away. She had to know what was happening here, she found a door with a sign that said: trespassing absolutly forbidden! She was about to grab the doorknob when she felt a presance - a demonic one. She recognised it as friendly and found out it was a small fox demon.
"Hi there! I followed you here, but you didn't see me. What's happening?"
Kagome told him hurriedly what was going on.
"Where are the others?" She asked. "Is Kaede allright?"
"Most of them are okey. Kaede was hurt, but not badly. The ones who kidnapped you where a wholf - clan that lives in this area and usually attacks travelers. The group are still a days trip away." The little fox said.
"Can you open this door?" Kagome asked.
"Sure, step aside." He threw a leaf at the door and it swung open. Kagome stepped into the room and as soon her eyes adjusted to the light she wished she'd never asked the little fox to open the foor. Speaking of the little fox, he had followed her and was now shivering from head to toe. All around the room there was boxes made of glass and inside there was a mist, the boxes where tagged with name plates. Some where empty, one of the boxes tagged : Tony was empty.
"We need to release them!" The little fox said, his voice was shaking.
He threw his leaf at the boxes one by one and released the poor souls of the captived children. When they where done and all the souls had faded away she whent back to the other children, nobody had notised she had been missing. She spread the word about an escape and that they had to be ready and also have their clothes nearby.
And to wait for a signal, also keep it a secret from all the adults.
"What signal?" Simon asked curious.
"The firealarm." Said Kagome. "When it's time the alarm will go off."
