The lady swings the men, while the man swings the ladies, swinging each other in the middle after each man/woman in the line. Bars 61-68: The couple swings round at the bottom of the set. Strip the Willow is the final dance of the evening and by far the most popular dance to be requested at ceilidhs, parties and weddings. A fast and furious jig, to get you “birrlin" and turning your partner, this dance one giant set stretching the full length of the hall. not for the faint hearted! Running step is used throughout. 1-4 1s turn 2? times by the right, moving down to finish between 2s, 1M behind 1L, both facing Mn's side; 5-6 1L turn 2M by the left WHILE 1M continue the running step on the spot; 7-8 1s turn by the right, moving down one place to finish between 3s; 9-12 repeat bars 5-8 with 3M;
