I have a 120" Inland projector screen that has lost most of it's tension and won't retract all the way. Anyone have suggestions on how to fix this? Projector screen does not retract - posted in External Hardware: Hello, I have this issue with projector screen, it went all the way down and now is stuck and does not go back up. It is a simple pull-down screen. I tried to roll it back with hands, but its not even moving. Any ideas for fix?
Anybody out there experienced a manual pull down screen that won't roll up? Somebody pulled it all the way down, now there is no tension/it won't catch/spring up. Is a bit fiddly - defo need small nose pliers and a flat bad screw driver to wind up the tension again.
The fix is to pull out the screen & roller assembly, roll it back up manually, then replace the spring end cap with a new one. (I believe the part # from A leather belt did the trick for me feed it around the spool and use it to roll the spool forward to a point where it will retract again. Posted on Jan 02, 2010.
