"Creation" etching with chine-colle and small amount of hand coloring
Paper size: 21 x 21 cm
The image size is 10 x 10 cm. It is an intaglio print. I used a copper plate with a drawing, that included the spiders web.
Then I put it into the acid so the lines got 'etched' into the surface of the plate.
Then I pushed oil based ink into the 'grooves' (like the cracks in broken ice) on the plate. Then I wiped away most of the ink.
After that - I put the copper plate onto the etching press bed - and then I placed damp special printing paper on top of it. I put the blankets over that. I rolled the handle to move the bed under the roller. When I lifted the blankets - I saw the result of my efforts -this print. By the way that is a photo of me on my avatar looking at something I just put through the press.
