Spiderling (about 20 x 20 cm) drypoint etching.
I had fun making 2 different images of hybrid spiderlings . I use this word for younger spiders............in fact on Wikipedia - it says "Immature spiders" which to me is a perfect description for my creations.
I used a pale green color plate for this. It is quite a thin plate and easy to cut with a good scissors. ( Toray plate - which is supposed to be used to make a lithographic image ).
Unfortunately one of her legs fell off - so I would need to re make the plate - using a stronger material next time. It's funny how you become more attached to certain art works. They become like little friends.
Yes - I know - in the old days - they would have taken me to the asylum and before that- even worse they might have taken me.......... to the stake !!
