Sometime after the events of the Evil Dead movie trilogy, traumatized Ash is still haunted by nightmares, so he decides to return to the cabin in the forest with his new girlfriend and face his fears. History repeats itself.
Eight years after the cult trilogy, Ash is back, and so are the deadites. Armed with a shotgun, a chainsaw, and a mouth full of one-liners, Ash battles for his life and the good of mankind through this horrifically funny 3D adventure... Well... maybe just for his life.
This videogame which is the fourth installment in the Evil Dead trilogy. The bases of the game is that Ash returns back to the cabin and his girlfriend is kidnapped by Evil Ash. Ash must set to destroy Evil Ash and save his girlfriend. This game got me hooked from the start. I couldn't stop playing. I beat the game and the ending was a big plot twist. Go out and buy this game. You won't regret baby.
Well, Hail to the King has gotten alot of bad press, but after getting the game for myself, I like it alot. You would have to have seen the rest of the Evil Dead movies to really appreciate a lot the game though. Just like in the movie, Ash is in deep crap. The fact that you start out with so many weapons really does help... The cabin was painstakingly replicated from Evil Dead II. The whole feel of the first CD was totally awesome. Learning how to play the game is somewhat difficult and you do have to do it quick since you start out in almost immediate danger! Stay cool and conserve your rations and the legions of the damned will be no problem. The bosses are cool and SOMETIMES unexpected. Anyway, I would strongly suggest renting this game (after all, you really only beat it once, right?) and using all of your time to seeing it through to the end. If you do, you will see a tribute to the original ending to Army of Darkness. The whole game serves as Evil Dead 4 and since there are no plans for making a movie, this is it folks!
