This movie is about a group of people who get trapped in a Supermarket after a Tsunami hits the coast of Queensland, Australia. But they soon find out that they have more to worry about than being in a flooded grocery store, there's 12 foot sharks swimming around them, and it's hungry.
A freak tsunami traps shoppers at a coastal Australian supermarket inside the building - along with 12-foot Great White Sharks.

It's a high concept movie for sure, a group of people stuck in a shop with a hungry shark, and as concepts go, it's a pretty bonkers one for sure.
And like Snakes On A Plane, it more or less does what it says on the tin, it should have been called Sharks In A Shark, but I'm sure some suit in the studio would think that people wouldn't then take the film seriously. And we want to take a film with this concept seriously......
So we have some relatively famous faces, and some culturally friendly (for the overseas market) characters standing on shelving trying to survive. Every now and again, someone who you haven't see in a film before tries to escape, it looks like they are going to make it, but guess what? Exactly.......
It's like a mini version of The Poseidon Adventure, minus major character arcs and drama, but it has all the ingredients of a disaster movie.
The cast are fine, but you can guess who will make it, and who will lose bodily parts, it's pretty perfunctory in that way.
My advice is, watch it in 2D, because it's hilarious to see things approach the screen with the 3D as a primary marketing ploy, rather than story.
Still fun though.
Right off the bat, I give this title 8/10. First, it needs some lovin'. At the time of reviewing this title, it has a rating of 5.3, which seriously, is way too low for such a campy horror film. Second, it's a shark in a supermarket, and really, how more original can you get? Anyone expecting an Oscar movie-going experience is knocking at the wrong door. But you know what, the thing is, this film is a lot better than most would have expected, me included. The cinematography is really nice. It clearly shows this movie was made with great care, attention to detail, and with passion for horror movies. The casting was perfect, the dialogues were well written, the location was great, and the suspense was very well created. It's just too bad they didn't get more budget for the CGI, because some scenes could have done with a better nip-tuck, especially the very first dramatic scene in the ocean. But overall, don't let that distract you: this film is a must see for any horror fan of the Shark genre. The film may be just a small fish in the sea of movies, but it's got all the gusto of the bigger ones out there.
