Go to the url chrome://plugins in chrome, then find and enable Chromium PDF Viewer . This will tell Chrome to use its built-in PDF viewer instead of downloading. After this is enabled, to download PDFs, just press command + S . In Google Chrome go to Settings.

10 Jul 2016 My team is experiencing attachments that open in a new tab, but are only downloaded rather than viewed directly in the browser. This functionality was added back in August, and we've become quite dependent on it. Has there been some change? I've tested my browser settings on other websites.
