Her father, who had preferred that she marry a Hindu, reluctantly permits them to get married. They do so, and subsequently re-locate to live in the United States. They buy a house, settle in, and are welcomed by their neighbors, Hamid and Anjum. A few days later Avantika's world will be turned upside down when she finds out that their neighbors are terrorists who want to avenge the deaths of innocent Iraqi and Afghani civilians massacred by British and American forces, and that her husband is not who he claims to be.A woman finds that her neighbors are terrorists, and her husband is not who he claims to be.I was inclined to give this one just 1 star, but then bumped it to a 3 because of the technical elements of the movie (it looks good) and the music (which while not stupendous, is at least pleasant sounding) The movie itself is a complete waste of one's time, and for anyone with reasonable sensibilities - will leave them fuming at the end of it all. The seeming absence of reason and logic by the characters in the movie and the downright shocking stereotyping of characters, let the movie down completely. Before watching the movie - i'd read reviews on the internet from reputed publications that commend the tight script and great direction, but all of that just looks like an effective PR machinery and a flexible marketing budget at play.
If you do want to have a pleasant evening, and one that doesn't involve an onset of irritability and general bodily discomfort - then please avoid watching this one.Even though the start of the movie is interesting, it falls flat on its face after the 1st quarter. Very illogical movie, as if the audience is dumb.
- Why doesn't Kareena never dials 911 to call police after seeing Salma's dead body? How stupid it is to call Diya Mirza instead of altering authorities of the plain bomb. - Why does Vivek decides to take matters in his own hands?
It could have been a much better movie, if Vivek worked with FBI and acted as a mole. That would make it a much more logical thriller. No wonder, it fell flat on the box office. I just can't understand why Indian story writer and director feel it is OK to make illogical movies like this? Here is my message to them: FU losers, We are NOT stupid. Do not make illogical movies.
