Insurance investigator Maindrian Pace and his team lead double-lives as unstoppable car thieves. When a South American drug lord pays Pace to steal 48 cars for him, all but one, a 1973 Ford Mustang, are in the bag. As Pace prepares to rip-off the fastback, codenamed "Eleanor", in Long Beach, he is unaware that his boss has tipped off the police after a business dispute. Detectives are waiting and pursue Pace through five cities as he desperately tries to get away.
A movie with a forty minute car chase. Never mind that the quality of acting is that of low quality porn (without the redemption of sex), this thing should be non-stop, edge of your seat, adrenaline pumping excitement. Sadly, I have never found an action sequence so boring. With one or two exceptions, the stunts are all cliche, there is little if any innovation. And just when you think the chase is over, it begins again, and again, until you are praying for it to be over. The "surprise" ending was clever, but that's about the only saving grace this thing had. You get the feeling that this movie was directed by the stunt coordinator. Oh wait....it was.

First thing one should do is open the garbage can and toss in all footage not car related. The script, editing, continuity, image quality and lighting are complete rubbish! To its credit, this was completely independent and produced on a shoestring budget but even knowing there was a 40minute car chase, I almost turned it off. It made no sense. I only understood the plot from remembering the remake. I could not follow their editing and script. So with the 40minutes not in the garbage, there is some entertaining car chase footage. Hence the 3pts of 10. They smash a TON of 70's sedans and cop cars. Some reviewers counted 90+. So that is fun but the chase scenes were not stellar. The Dukes of Hazzard TV show car chases are much better. They cut away mid-crash countless times
Boooo Hisssss. And some cop drivers made the stupidest and unbelievable decisions. Thus the 40 minute chase felt cheap yet lightly amusing. Only watch this if you must see a classic car chase or just watch Bullett. Don't waste your time with the horrendous 1st half please! I also rated the newer movie with Nic Cage a 3/10 for terrible CGI, stupid story and they didn't show enough of the additional cool cars. I guess I can check this off my list now.
