It was realesed in 1978 and revolutionized the concept of music as we know it. The lyrics which by scholars have been described as "trivial genius" are said to derive from wordplay and bluecollar jokes and have captivated the imagination of both young and old the like.
People as Janis Joplin, Elvis Presley, Beethoven and Jimi Hendrix all stated that The Ale Stones Had a huge influence on their music.
Jimi Hendrix for example said in an interview: "I only played open chords until I heard The Ale Stones. They totally changed my view on what a guitar can do."
Even though the band have played for sold out arenas all over the world over, nobody know who they are. They always stood with their backs against their audience.
Three month after the realeae of "We're Not Going Further South From Here" the band dropped of the map, never to be heard from again.
Rumors flourishes about what happened to the members but none have been confirmed. The most well kown myth is that one of the members bought a house in Slimminge but it hasn't been confirmed yet.
