Measure Your Wrist. You'll need to measure your wrist. If your wrist is 6 to 7 inches in circumference, you should typically go with 38mm, 40mm and 42mm watch cases. If your wrist circumference is 7.5 to 8 inches, you should be looking at 44mm to 46mm watch cases.

1 Apr 2017 On this one, go with what feels (and looks) good; once properly sized, your timepiece should look as if it was made for you specifically. For smaller six inch wrists, small (36-39mm) watches are best suited. For very large wrists, medium to large diameter watches (above 40mm) are generally a better fit.
If your wrist is 6 to 7 inches you will be a small to medium wrist size. The small to medium diameter cases are 38mm, 40mm, and 42mm. If your wrist is 7.5 to 8 inches in circumference, that will be more proportional with large cases which are 44-46mm.
I have an 8" wrist. I prefer watches from 39mm (dress/vintage) to 44mm (sports/casual). I like what I like. However, I was curious, is there a "scale" of sorts, or a chart, which will tell you what range of case size goes with a given wrist size?
