He follows the couple, kills the man and helps the delivery of the baby in the middle of a shootout while a gang of hit-man tries to shoot them up. The woman is killed but Smith saves the baby, escaping from Hertz, the leader of the killers. Then he meets the prostitute Donna Quintano, who has just lost her baby, and asks her to breastfeed the newborn. They are chased by Hertz and Smith discovers the reason why the bad guy wants to kill the baby.A man named Mr. Smith delivers a woman's baby during a shootout, and is then called upon to protect the newborn from the army of gunmen.Yes, i really did it. The greatest action film ever! Beter than die Hard and more hitting than Robocop. This film has all the ingredients of an action classic, from the sky high dialogue to the jaw dropping cinematography of the action. Clive Owen demonstrates he can be good at both acting and action as does Monnica Belluchia. As usual Paul Giammati gives a resounding performance as the bad guy.
The only thing i have to warn you about is, how brutal the action is. By this i mean a complete rib roaring, head blasting extravaganza.
So if you want to see lots of carnage, death and destruction there's no better film to watch this year!I haven't been this excited to see a movie in a while and I was not disappointed. Right from the start the action picks up and never lets up after that.Clive Owen is the perfect nameless hero and I couldn't imagine anyone else better for this part. Same goes for Paul Giamatti who plays a the perfect hit-man who will stop at nothing. All in all it was a great casting call for every one in the movie. If you like guns and like watching them being shot then this is the movie for you. If you want a more in-depth movie then go watch Lord of the Rings, but if you just want a balls to the wall action flick then look no further because the plot is sort of smashed in to get from one shoot out to the next.It sets a tone, all right. A lot of gamers (sorry, "filmgoers") may well enjoy writer-director Michael Davis' ultraviolent lark. It's not meant to be taken seriously. But films like this are worth taking seriously because they're genuinely cruddy and hollow and, yes, vile.Opening shootout / birth scene - "Breed" by Nirvana.
