7 Feb 2010 Now I just tried it on Windows XP, GIMP 2.6.8, and I get the same crash of file-mng.exe. I opened a bug report on GIMP's bug . But you need to sort the pages/layers in reversed order in GIMP, because Previewer doesn't have an option to reverse GIF images before export to PDF. ImageMagick is a better
If you are using Gimp 2.7.x then export as -> change the extension to PDF. I can't speak for 2.6 but the 2.7 version allows you to export to pdf GIMP will not reliably open the image again if yuo save it as pdf; for re-opening purpose, save in GIMP's native xcf format; you can save space by using .xcf.gz as
9 Jun 2009 I edited some pdf files in gimp and I have to say it's a big step for gimp to be able to edit pdfs. The only thing is, I don't know how save the edited pdf in pdf format :( Isn't that A little odd? Being able to edit it, but there is no option to export it to pdf, or save it as pdf? Any ideas, or any plugins that can cover this
3 Nov 2011 I put this script in the ~/.gimp-2.6/scripts folder and restarted gimp but there were no scripts listed (in either the python-fu or script-fu consoles) by any names I could think of such as "export_layers_pdf" or "python-fu-export-pdf" etc I also tried placing this script in the ~/.gimp-2.6/plug-ins folder but still no luck
6 Jan 2011 I'm guessing that Helmut is using gimp 2.7.x of some version, which exports rather than saves except for the gimp format (xcf). My question would be, can you export a jpeg? Do you need to 'flatten' a pdf file before export? I've been using gimp 2.7.0 and 2.7.1 and won't look back to 2.6.x There are still plenty
