10 Dec 2012 When I print to cups-pdf, I get no options dialog and no error messages - but I can't find the resultant PDF file. If I knew the name of the file, I could find it with the updatedb/locate command but I don't even know what the default name is. Looking in /etc/cups/cups-pdf.conf, it implies the file goes to my desktop;
Printing Files. CUPS understands many different types of files directly, including text, PostScript, PDF, and image files. This allows you to print from inside your applications or at the command-line, whichever is most convenient! Type either If the program does not provide any output, then nothing will be queued for printing.
20 Mar 2009 If you place your CUPS-PDF printer in the Dock, or create an alias of it on the Desktop, you can drag most documents onto the printer icon to automatically save a PDF version in your CUPS-PDF folder. (The printer—actually its print-queue program—is located in ~/Library/Printers .

8 Feb 2015 As the title says I don't find any directory that cups-pdf outputs to when print with evince. I went to settings and configured the printer (there is only one which is cups-pdf) to output to /home/mysusername/PDF (I created the directory) but still don't see any output. There was no error message, it just went
26 Mar 2008 gksu gedit /etc/cups/cups-pdf.conf; The lines starting with the “#" character are comments. The first un-commented line, which specifies the output directory, should look something like this: Out ${HOME}/PDF; Change this line to the path you want your PDFs saved to. This will save them to the current users's
18 Oct 2010 As Marcel said, the CUPS-PDF "Print to PDF" functionality is no longer needed as "Print to File" gives you the same functionality. However, if you do have it installed, it will only work if you have a directory named "PDF" in your home directory. I had to actually create that directory in my home folder to get the
