"He who has the gun makes the rules" the golden rule of Murphy that he follows to eliminate the members of the gang he lead to rob a casino. But one man evades the gun and holds the money, Michael. Caught between Michael and Murphy is Cybil and her son Jesse. With the Marshals on their trail, both come up with escape plans.
Hardened criminals Thomas J. Murphy and Michael Zane lead a gang of five using an Elvis impersonators convention as cover to violently rob the Riviera Casino. The others get eliminated either during the heist or infighting (allegedly?) over the way to divide the loot and launder it. Zane returns to the desert rat hole 'last Chance' sleazy diner run by divorced Cybil Waingrow, who makes a second income of seducing and robbing men with and for her smart cheeky rascal Jesse. Once she knows about the laundering, Cybil dumps Jesse of Zane so she can try to steal it, but Murphy, who already left a bloody trail including dead cops, recruits a new team, just like the police. Fortunes and betrayal keep shifting while the victims pile up.

It REALLY gets to me when a good movie is so panned that nobody sees it and it flops at the box office. That fate befell this movie, which isn't as bad as they all say. It's pure fun. Think "Terminator" crossed with "Reservoir Dogs". The fun begins right away, with a cool animated visual of a scorpion duel. S P O I L E R S
The story goes like this: A group of guys (Led by Kevin Costner and Kurt Russell) rob a casino dressed as Elvis impersonators. The robbery turns violent and one of the guys dies. (The guy who dies first prooves a well known cliche.) So then one of the other guyes wants half the money and Kevin Costner kills him. He sets his sights on Kurt Russell now. Russell high-tails it out of there with a ahem, "sexy" waitress (Courteny Cox) and her young son. It's not perfect. Nearly everyone who isn't Kevin or Kurt dies. But it is a fun, fun movie and will tide you over 'till the summer.
A two hours commercial for "Guns and Ammo" Except for the quality of the DVD print (amazing colors) this movie got NOTHING, good to rent on a one dollar Tuesday at your local video store. I don't mind violence but PLEASE! give it some purpose.
A vile, stupid and ugly movie lacking utterly in pep, thrills, humor, finesse or morals, a dissipating waste of time, money and human resources.
