My car is a 128i; the 135i procedure is probably similar but with some differences to capacities, bolt sizes, and torque specs. 16 Mar 2008 I would like to change the fluid in the 5 speed transmission and differential of my E 46 2001 325i which presently has 102,000 miles on it. Since the fluid is listed as lifetime in the manual, there is no capacity listing. I would like to know the capacity of each, and would also appreciate any suggestions on the

I *think* (but am not sure) that for most E46 and E36 manual transmission, the OEM fluid is BMW MTF LT2 or MTF LT3, made by Pentosin. However you should check if your transmission has the green, yellow, or blue label, or some other label (most seem to have a green or yellow label). IIRC, the yellow
